
The Aberdeen Area Indian Health Service is holding
Nurse Executive Leadership Course training.
The training will be August 3rd - 5th, 2010
at the Best Western Doublewood Inn located in Bismarck, ND.
COURSE GOAL:
To develop strong nurse executive leadership that enables Nurse Administrators to adequately perform their duties and responsibilities within I/T/Us.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
- Provide a medium for the exchange of ideas and disseminating and materials relative to nursing administers in hospitals, clinics and public health nursing.
- Provide nursing leadership with education, guidance, and direction on administrative processes and management responsibilities to enhance decision-making skills.
- To be familiar with the four (4) Priorities of the IHS and AAO:
- To renew and strengthen our partnership with tribes
- In the context of national health insurance reform, to bring reform to the IHS
- To improve quality of and access to care
- To make all our work accountable, transparent, fair and inclusive.
- Provide guidance and direction to Nurse Executives and managers regarding nursing performance improvement activities (GPRA, EHR, & IPC) in relation to the provision of quality patient care, treatment, services, and patient safety; thereby promoting positive patient outcomes.
