The Recruiting Native Americans into Nursing (RAIN) project goal was to increase the number of Native Americans enrolled in one of seven nursing programs across the country. KAT Communications produced a fast-paced interactive CD to get middle and high school aged students thinking about a nursing career. The CD-ROM leads viewers through the process of learning about nursing, preparing for college and studying nursing in one of the seven specialized programs for American Indians. A short promotional video gives students a taste of each of the campuses they might attend. Web links, campus photos and other resources are available for further study. The CD-ROM will be used by career counselors, recruitment personnel and prospective students.
